On Wednesday afternoon Kaizer Chiefs announced that the club's Technical Advisor Molefi Ntseki will take over as the head coach of the team while Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard would assist him.
Many were taken by surprise by this appointment and one of them is former Amakhosi captain and defender Patrick "The General" Mabedi.

Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew from Blantyre, the Malawian born Chiefs legend who is currently the interim coach of the Malawi senior national team and had worked as Chiefs assistant coach in the past, insisted that Zwane is the right person for the head coach position.
"It's a very critical move for a critical position. I still believe Ntseki should have just remained as the technical advisor and Arthur (Zwane) continue as head coach while they work hand in hand together," Mabedi told the Siya Crew.
"You know Arthur has played for that team. He knows the culture. He knows the players and given the chance he could change the team. But maybe because they were working together last season and since Arthur is still there it will make a difference.
"And also maybe because Ntseki was there last season in his position he learnt some things and saw where they can improve. But one important thing is they should have kept Arthur there.
"They should not lose him. He knows the culture and he just needs to gain experience to coach the team. He knows the system of the team and he should remain there. But above all I don't think it's a good move to appoint another coach instead of keeping Arthur there," Mabedi told Soccer Laduma.
The Malawian coach added that when signing players, Chiefs should bring in options that are better than those they might be releasing or already at the club.
"Last season there were mistakes at the back and I have seen they have signed new defenders. But are they better than the ones they are releasing? Or are they just similar?
"Chiefs are a big team and you need players who can fit into the system not just any other player that can play for Chiefs. Are they signing the right quality? That's the question we have to be asking," Mabedi concluded.
