Orlando Pirates are fresh from a trip to Spain where they featured in three matches, while Mamelodi Sundowns have jetted out to the Netherlands where four encounters await them.
Chiefs on the other hand have travelled to Tanzania where they will face Young Africans on Saturday before journeying to Botswana where Township Rollers lie in wait.
“With the league set to get underway in a fortnight’s time, we view this tour involving matches against quality opposition as a valuable opportunity to get the boys match-ready for the start of the season,” Motaung Jr., told the club’s official website.
“We intend to hit the ground running in our opening fixture against Chippa and establish forward momentum from the word go.”
The Siya crew understands that there are plans in place to air the high-profile friendly which takes place at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam, though Chiefs are yet to communicate the details.
Kick off is at 7pm. Chiefs have posted the following video of their arrival in Tanzania.
