Kaizer Chiefs shouldn’t succumb to pressure and will instead need to take things step by step and trust the process in reclaiming the glory days, according to concerned club legend Lucky Stylianou.

Chiefs are at risk of entering their 10th season without winning any major trophy, with their only real chance for the 2023/24 campaign being the Nedbank Cup, as things stand.

Chiefs last won silverware in the 2014/15 season with the league title.

Players have come and gone, but results have continued to elude the team in recent seasons and the situation hasn’t improved for the club much to the frustrations of some sections of the supporters.

Chiefs are understood to be in search of a coach to replace Molefi Ntseki who is the latest mentor to have been relieved of his duties in October due to disappointing results.

Interim coach Cavin Johnson is expected to return to his position as the Head of Academy.

Stylianou has advised about the changes that the club may need to consider.

“As Kaizer Chiefs’ success is based on their outstanding history, the club needs to go back into achieving just that. And the first thing to do to achieve that is to bring in the correct coach, mainly. Secondly, bring in the players with a technical director, and the board that can win you the league title,” said Stylianou, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
