Real Madrid, who were favourites to sign Kylian Mbappe before he agreed his latest contract extension, have reportedly reacted to the news the Frenchman wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Messi 'Among The Reasons' Mbappe Wants To Leave PSG

According to French publication L'Equipe, the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners do not believe there is a realistic chance of landing the 23-year-old's signature at the turn of the year amid rumours he wishes to leave the Parc des Princes.

A bombshell report dropped on Tuesday, in which it was claimed Mbappe is unhappy with how he has been used by manager Christophe Galtier, whose Les Parisiens side is still unbeaten across all competitions this season.

The forward was said to have been made promises that have not been kept, such as the club's vow to sign a new No. 9 and sell Brazilian winger Neymar, with Mbappe reportedly eager to star in a deeper role for the Ligue 1 leaders.

L'Equipe claims that Los Blancos feel the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is simply trying to put pressure on PSG to give into his demands, despite it being said that Mbappe will aim to leave the club as soon as possible.

The striker went close to joining the Spanish giants earlier this year before he penned a big-money deal that saw him become the world's highest-paid player after discussions with PSG's board and France president Emmanuel Macron.

Although Real chief Florentino Perez was frustrated with Mbappe's decision in May, the Spanish club has not closed the door on a potential future move for the player, but do not feel the coming window will present the chance to land his signature.

While high-profile journalists have jumped on the story, PSG sporting director Luis Campos has insisted that Mbappe has not communicated a desire to depart the club and also denied that he could leave his position amid the recent chaos.

"Mbappe has never told me or Nasser Al Khelaifi that he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January," he said, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Mbappe Unhappy At Paris Saint-Germain?

"It's not true that I'm leaving Paris. I'm very happy to be here, I'm under contract for the next three years. My mission is to bring important trophies here at PSG."
