Olympique Lyon have had a torrid run of form in Ligue 1 so far this season, having failed to win a single one of their nine matches. The French giants have lost six games and drawn three times.
On the weekend, Argentine left-back Nicolas Tagliafico was left out of the club's matchday squad that lost 2-1 to Clermont Foot on Sunday after returning from international duty with the Albiceleste.
Speaking about Fabio Grosso's decision to leave him out, the former Ajax Amsterdam defender admitted his coach did not like that he attended his country's clash against New Zealand in the first semi-final of the Rugby World Cup on Friday.
"I returned in good shape, I was ready, the manager decided not to play me and I accepted that," he said, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
"The coach also told me that he wasn't happy with me going at the rugby game on free Friday night.
"I respect that, we keep going strong together."
