The Major League Soccer franchise has confirmed that Josef Martinez, along with Victor Ulloa and Jak LaCava, will be leaving the club.
The Venezuelan is rumoured to be the subject of much interest from sides in LALIGA after being left out of the final two MLS matchday squads by head coach Tata Martino.
The Argentine tactician had previously confirmed that the 30-year-old was not part of his plans for next season, and it appears his exit has paved the way for legendary Uruguayan Luis Suarez to make his way to the DRV PNK Stadium.
The 2015/16 European Golden Shoe winner has already confirmed his departure from Brazilian outfit Gremio once their campaign draws to a close, and rumours continue to swirl about his potential reunion with long-time teammate and close friend Messi.
It is likely that Suarez will have to take a wage cut in order to sign with the Herons, as Martinez's exit is expected to free up only $4.5 million (R85.8 million) in the club's annual salary cap space. However, given the massive appeal Messi has brought to the side, the potential for sponsorships and endorsements is much greater playing in Florida.

After Inter Miami were eliminated from play-off contention this past season, their fans will have to wait until February 2024 to see Suarez suit up for them if he does join the club.
