Having recently been praised by Barcelona's president, one of Liverpool's star attackers has admitted he has dreams of one day playing for a Spanish club.

Luis Diaz has been an integral part of Jurgen Klopp's side since his January arrival from FC Porto, but has not featured for the Reds since sustaining a knee injury in a defeat to Arsenal early in September.

Diaz has a long-term contract with the Merseyside outfit, but has now revealed that he would like to ply his trade in LaLiga if the opportunity ever presented itself.

"I would like to play for a Spanish club, that has always attracted my family's attention, but it is more of a childish dream," he told Colombian magazine SoHo.

The 25-year-old did was also quick to add that the only thing currently occupying his mind is winning with the six-time European champions.

"Now, I only think about lifting trophies and making history with Liverpool, which is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity they have given me."

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently admitted that the Blaugrana were interested in signing the skilful winger before he made the move to Anfield.

The Catalan giants went on to sign Raphinha from Leeds United, and renew Ousmane Dembele's contract too.
