South Africa's 400 metres record holder gave Liverpool fans around the country plenty of FOMO as he visited Anfield to witness his beloved Liverpool taking on Arsenal.
Van Niekerk shared his thrilling experience on Instagram, receiving comments from Martizburg United stars and it included snaps of him alongside Jordan Henderson and other Liverpool ballers.

Wayde van Niekerk
2016 Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk is a staunch Liverpool supporter and once again got to watch his favourite side performing at their intimidating home ground.
The national athletics title holder witnessed an epic comeback from Liverpool who fought hard to earn a point in a 2-2 against the English Premier League leaders, Arsenal.
One of the videos shared by van Niekerk showed him celebrating Roberto Firmino's 87-minute equaliser, while he enthusiastically kissed a club scarf dedicated to the Brazilian forward.

The 30-year-old took pictures with Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson, and youngsters Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Elliot and Cody Gakpo.
Martizburg United stars Wayde Jooste and Brad Cross commented on the sprinter's post with the former cheekily writing:
"Maybru, did you tell my bra Trent I said lekke game?"
Cross and Siya Kolisi were experiencing some real FOMO from van Niekerk's weekend Anfield visit and the Springbok captain wrote:
"Without me again!!!", to which the Van Niekerk replied: "@siyakolisi when we going together?"
