What's the story?
Although Balenciaga has been cancelled by a decent portion of the fashion world after being accused of promoting Child Exploitation and Pedophilia in a Ad campaign last year, SA football's stylish beings are still wearing the luxury brand.
Royal AM's Shauwn Mkhize and Orlando Pirates' Thabang Monare flaunted their Balenciaga items this week, while Teko Modise has been seen wearing one of their caps on numerous occasions.

Balenciaga controversy
Late last year, Balenciaga released its December holiday ad campaign that featured child models holding teddy bears in bondage gear and harnesses, which are known as BDSM accessories.
The brand received some backlash for the campaign, with the hashtag #cancelBalenciaga trending across social media platforms with many fashion fans and others accusing the brand and creative director Demna Gvasalia of condoning pedophilia and child exploitation.
The situation got so messy for the brand, they removed all of their IG posts at the time to potentially avoid fans and followers questioning them in the comments of posts.
the brand "Balenciaga" just did a uh..... interesting... photoshoot for their new products recently which included a very purposely poorly hidden court document about 'virtual child porn'

Despite all of this backlash, which included pop culture juggernaut Kim Kardashian condemning the French luxury fashion house, local football personalities are still embracing the brand.
On her trip to Dubai this week, MaMkhize carried one of her favourite white Balenciaga bags, with Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare posting a IG story of him wearing one of their shirts.
The ever-stylish former Pirates and Sundowns star Teko Modise is also a fan of Balenciaga, taking a liking to one of their minimalist dad caps.
The brand also made inroads in the football world, designing football kits and boots for a capsule collection last year, and worked with Ligue 1 club Rennes for their off-pitch uniforms.
