Burnley and Bafana Bafana star Lyle Foster gave back to the community that raised him by making a donation that will inspire the next generation of footballers. Check it out!

What's the story?

English Premier League star Lyle Foster gave back to his community in Soweto recently by making a sizable donation that will make a massive difference to football-loving children in the area.

It appears as if Foster visited the newly-built court during the international break, where Bafana Bafana played both games at the Orlando Stadium, not far from where Foster grew up.

Foster gives back

Lyle Foster recently donated an indoor football court to a primary school in Noordgesig, the neighbourhood in Soweto he grew up in.

The videographers from The Media IT and Magnet Studios, captured a beautiful day filled with plenty of laughs and football joy, with Foster showing his skills on the newly built court.

Foster worked alongside the Humanities Empowerment Fund to make this donation to Noordgesig Primary School, which will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of footballers in the area, that's a stone-throw away from Orlando Stadium.

Along with a fun game of football, Foster received a warm reception from the learners at the school as well as other community members.

This type of initiatives will not only give the children in the area a brilliant facility to hone their skills but will also give them a direct reference to succeeding beyond their immediate circumstances like Lyle Foster did by making his name at Orlando Pirates.

Although he enjoyed a successful visit back home, helping Bafana Bafana stretch their unbeaten run to nine games, it wasn't the happiest return for Foster in the English Premier League on Monday after being sent-off in a 1-1 draw to Nottingham Forest.

Foster still managed a goal contribution on the day and will continue to inspire young footballers around the country with his work on and off the pitch.
