Lars Veldwijk's fruitful island trip
Currently without a club after parting ways with South Korea K-League outfit Suwon FC, Lars Veldwijk had some time to head over to Curaçao with multi-faceted Dutch football brand, Life After Football.
Veldwijk, who last appeared for Bafana Bafana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, was joined on the trip by former Ons Oranje stars Ryan Babel, Dirk Kuyt, Ron Vlaar and Jeremain Lens to name a few.
They headed to the island for Life After Football's annual 'Footvolley' (Football volleyball) tournament, that also included a football clinic four young players, in partnership with island's football association and their tourism board.
Veldwijk and the rest of the Dutch ballers of yesteryear explored the night life scene on the Caribbean island, with some jet-skiing added to the mix.
