What's the story?

In unsavoury scenes from Fenerbahçe's clash against Trabzonspor, fans from the latter club stormed the pitch to attempt and attack on players following the full-time whistle.

Nigeria's Bright Osayi-Samuel was in the thick of it, seemingly defending himself and teammate from a masked pitch invader.

Super Eagles star punches fan! 

Chaos ensued at the Papara Park following Fenerbahçe's 3-2 win over Trabzonspor, with Bright Osayi-Samuel seen taking on a fan in rather distasteful scenes.

The Trabzonspor fans took to the pitch after the away team, Fenerbahçe, came from behind to grab all three points, thanks to a brace from Fred and a late goal from Michy Batshuayi.

Several Trabzonspor supporters invaded the pitch to confront the celebrating Fenerbahçe players, who were forced to defend themselves against an angry mob.

A brawl was sparked after a fan angrily approached the Fenerbahçe players who were celebrating in a huddle after their win. The lone Trabzonspor supporter entered the field to try and goad the men in yellow, before security tackled  him. However, it did not prevent a scuffle with Osayi-Samuel.

The Nigerian international ran after the pitch invader and seemed to have landed a punch, with other footage surfacing of Osayi-Samuel landing a big blow on another fan.

Match-winner Batshuayi was also spotted trying to intercept a fan heading into the dugouts with a flying kick. After the initial invader was apprehended by security, a mob of supporters ran onto the pitch to try and get their hands on the winners of the night.
