PICS: 15 killed in bus and truck crash!

Fifteen people have lost their lives after a bus and truck collided on the M17 Hornsnek road near Bundu Inn, in Tshwane.

The accident has so far claimed the lives of 15 people, two from the truck and 13 from the bus.

Amongst the deceased 8 are women and 7 men, while 23 people have been injured and three are in a critical condition.

The MMC of community safety, Alderman Grandi Theunissen sends sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured people.

The road has been temporarily closed at N4 and Rosslyn Road. Motorists are urged to avoid and use alternative roads.

The Tshwane Metro Police Department will continue to monitor until the roads are opened.

Tshwane EMS spokesperson Charles Mabaso said emergency services are on the scene.

“So far six patients have been declared dead, but there could be more,” he said.

The Tshwane Metro Police Department said: “Take note of a fatal crash involving a truck and a bus at M17 Hornsnek road near Bundu Inn. The road is closed at N4 and Rosslyn Road, motorists are urged to avoid and use alternative roads.”
