Cristiano Ronaldo has now spoken out on his reported big-money move to the Middle East.

Earlier in December, it was claimed the Portuguese forward had agreed to a deal that would see him make the move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the year and earn a reported salary of €200 million (R3.6 billion) a season.

The striker is believed to have agreed on a two-and-half-year contract, and also to being an ambassador for Saudi Arabian football.

Al-Hilal and Al Nassr were the two clubs who have shown interest in the free agent's signature in recent weeks, and it appeared the latter had won the race.

Following Portugal's 6-1 win over Switzerland, Ronaldo reacted to reports suggesting that the deal to join the Saudi giants was done.

"No, that's not true, not true," the 37-year-old answered when asked if his move to Al Nassr was completed, per the Daily Mail.

Sources close to Ronaldo are also said to have also insisted that talk of him agreeing to join to Al Nassr is "nonsense".

If the forward chooses to turn down the reported move to Saudi Arabia, it would not be the first time he has done this as he revealed during his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in November that he rejectd a €350 million (R6.3 billion) offer for two seasons from an unnamed Saudi side.
