With the 2022/23 campaign well underway, it has been claimed that Graham Potter's Chelsea have now reached a pre-contract agreement with one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe.
Despite the transfer window closing on 1 September, Chelsea are now said to have effectively sealed a deal for a new attacking signing.

The Blues have seen many changes in the camp of late, not least of which is the appointment of Potter, in a transitional period under the new Toddy Boehly-led ownership.
The club is also understood to be in pursuit of a new sporting director, with Leeds United executive Victor Orta and Monaco chief Paul Mitchell reportedly shortlisted for the role.
With changes at the London outfit expected to continue, The Athletic has now revealed that the reigning FIFA Club World Cup champions have tied RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku (below right) to a pre-contract agreement.
It is reported that the Stamford Bridge side has committed to paying a fee in excess of the France international's €60 million (R1 billion) release clause.

The attacker is only expected to join the London club in the 2023/24 season, with the Blues ready to spend the higher figure on the player in order to beat any other potential suitors to his signature, with a number of other English teams also believed to be interested in the 24-year-old, who has nine goal contributions in 12 matches across all competitions so far this season.
