Al Nassr player Abdul Ghareeb has insisted that it is difficult playing with Cristiano Ronaldo.

After Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner in Al Nassr's 3-2 win on Tuesday night, one of his teammates has confessed that there is a certain "difficulty" to playing with the Portuguese superstar.

The striker scored his 14th Saudi Pro League goal in 15 matches to help his side to a much-needed 3-2 win over Al Shabab at home.

The victory saw the Riyadh club maintain a three-point margin between them and log leaders Al Ittihad with just two games to go before the season ends.

Things initially looked worrying for the hosts, though, as Al Shabab had a 2-0 lead by the 40th minute, before Brazilian talisman Anderson Talisca pulled one back just before half-time.

Abdul Ghareeb then equalised in the 51st minute, before Ronaldo's curled long-range shot just eight minutes later secured the three points for the Saudi giants.

After the match, Ghareeb did not hesitate to praise the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, but also admitted that it can be hard to play with the former Manchester United forward.

"It's a great honour for me to have my name associated with Cristiano Ronaldo, every time I take the field," he said after the tie, according to Portuguese outlet Desporto.

"Playing with him is very difficult. We have to wait and see what he does.

"In fact, we can only hope for the best in his every move, that's all he can do."

Reacting to the result, Ronaldo took to Twitter to tweet: "Great team spirit to come back and win it. Big thank you to the fans that stood with us when we most needed!"

Al Nassr will take on Ettifaq in their penultimate league game of the campaign on Saturday as the 2022/23 Saudi Pro League season nears its climax.

However, Ronaldo's future at the club next season looks uncertain, with a return to Europe now rumoured to be in the works after it was reported that he is not happy with the way things have panned out so far in the Middle East.
