The Namibia squad have received an exorbitant reward following the side's heroics in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener.
The Brave Warriors have been lauded for their 1-0 victory over Group F rivals Tunisia on Tuesday, their first-ever win at the tournament.

As a result, the team were rewarded N$300 000 (R300 784) by Namibia Football Association (NFA) president Robert Shimooshili and businessman Steve Hamunyela, each giving N$150 000.
Shimooshili expressed the pride and honour he felt for his team after they had made the country proud.
“You left your families back home, and while on this mission, put everything aside to focus on your assignment and make us proud. The Namibian nation is grateful for the history made," he said per Africa Top Sports.
“We believe in your potential; this contribution is not just financial support, it’s a vote of confidence in the resilience and determination displayed by the Brave Warriors. You have brought honour and pride to the nation.
“I challenge the Namibian nation to, those who can, support the team in whatever way they can,” he added.

Hotto, along with Mamelodi Sundowns star Peter Shalulile, and the rest of the team's next challenge comes in the form of Bafana Bafana on Sunday, 21 January.
The Brave Warriors will be looking to keep their momentum while South Africa will be determined to make up for their 2-0 loss against Mali, making for a riveting encounter.
