Cassius Mailula's agent Karabo Tshabuse has revealed that they are open to exploring options for her client and commented on whether a move back to Mamelodi Sundowns is on the table.

Mailula scored his first goal for Toronto in his first start since joining the Major League Soccer outfit two weeks ago in a 5-0 victory over Simcoe County Rovers in a Canadian Championship Cup game.

Although a few days later Toronto announced that they loaned Mailula to their reserve side, Tshabuse of P Management Sports, speaking exclusively to Kickoff, says they will wait and see if he features more and they are open to exploring other options.

"Definitely we've been waiting for him to play and where he did have his first start, he had his first goal. So his morale and confidence is up, we'll just have to wait and see with regards to him featuring more and more, which is the plan," Tshabuse told KickOff.

"We just have to trust the process and see how it goes and that's not to say that the options that are available can't be explored as well," she said.

There are rumours that Sundowns are open to re-signing Mailula and Tshabuse was tight-lipped on whether the 22-year-old going back to the Brazilians is one of the options.

"I'm not commenting on rumours, unfortunately. My legal obligations require me that when things are confidential I keep them confidential, so I'm not even in a position to say that (going back to Sundowns) is an option or is not an option," Tshabuse responded.

"Obviously we're working on the best interest of our client and whatever that best interest is we'll pursue, whether he shows up in Europe or whether he shows up wherever, we're gonna put his interest first," she added.

Mailula was signed on a three-year deal by Toronto in July last year, with an option for a further year.
