The agent of SuperSport United defender Luke Fleurs has finally revealed what led to Kaizer Chiefs deciding to no longer pursue their interest in the defender.
Chiefs' interest in Fleurs dates back to the 2021/22 season under then coach Gavin Hunt.

Despite playing only 11 times in all competitions this season, the 23-year-old centre-back remains a valuable asset to SuperSport.
According to agent Glyn Binkin who represents Fleurs, Amakhosi stopped their interest immediately after reaching an agreement with Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
Ditlhokwe who signed a pre-contract with Chiefs in January will be leaving United at the end of June.
“Luke Fleurs still has a contract at SuperSport so there’s nothing at the moment,” Binkin tells KickOff.
“The reason he didn’t see a lot of game time it’s because he was injured.
“As for Chiefs they signed Ditlhokwe on a free, so they are no longer pursuing Fleurs.”
Amakhosi have also added TS Galaxy FC captain Given Msimango in their centre-back position which already has Zitha Kwinika, Siyabonga Ngezana, Edmilson Dove and Njabulo Ngcobo.
Amakhosi are expected to be busy in the transfer market after their poor performance in the 2022/23 Season.
The Arthur Zwane-coached side failed to win a single trophy this season and finished outside the top five in the DStv Premiership log table.
