With Pitso Mosimane potentially becoming available at the end of the season, there are three challenges Kaizer Chiefs may need to address to stand a chance of landing the 'big fish'.

Mosimane's manager, Moira Tlhagale, has revealed that she is currently in talks with potential teams the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach could join at the end of the campaign once his four-month deal with Abha Club comes to an end, speaking to journalists at the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) trials in Mamelodi.

The multiple-title winning coach has been linked with Amakhosi since he left Al Wahda in November last year, especially with the Soweto giants yet to appoint a permanent coach after parting ways with Molefi Ntseki.

For Chiefs to lure Mosimane to Naturena, they need to be in line with at least three factors:

1. Control of technical matters

"The issue is when you appoint people like Pitso, you must know that they do not want to be told how to do their work...," Tlhagale said, in reflecting on why the relationship with Al Wahda ended.

"For us it's about agreeing on two key principles, (one), the coach comes with his (own) team. Two, the team can't just buy players without consulting with the technical team," she pointed out their non-negotiable in choosing the right project.

2. Bringing his own backroom staff

"You know, I think it's only here (in South Africa) that the thing (of bringing own technical team) is not normal, everywhere else (it) is very normal," Tlhagale went on.

"In fact, when we went to UAE, we never had a goalkeeper coach, they asked us to even bring a goalkeeper coach and we took the coach that coach (Mosimane) was working with in Al Ahli Jeddah. So, they are happy with him, he is with them now.

"So, the whole thing of a coach coming with his technical team is very normal," she emphasized.

Can Chiefs afford Mosimane?

However, Tlhagale also conceded that the former Bafana Bafana coach's first priority would be to stay in the Saudi Pro League.

"But the coach was very clear that he wants to be with the big boys in Saudi," she went on.

"I think we all know the Saudi League has grown, it has got big players.

"I saw in the last match somebody in the articles wrote, 'Coach Pitso's team of whatever million dollars was playing against a team of whatever billion dollars'...," added Tlhagale.
