AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has refused to concede that Orlando Pirates were the better side after suffering MTN8 final heartbreak at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

Monnapule Saleng scored the decisive goal directly form a free-kick as Usuthu suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat.

"The only thing that gets me annoyed a little bit is the fact that if it were not for the set-piece, I don’t think they would have scored against us," Folz said post-match.

"That's the only thing that bothers me a little bit.

"If we had been outplayed and they scored three goals then you can admit they are better than you.

"I don’t think that was the case, but again I am not taking anything away from them.

"Congratulations to them, and you only play one final, so it’s their win, and it’s our loss.

"But honestly, I don’t think they were better than us."
