'Invisible' tech for new Discovery

accreditation

Have you ever been off-roading or in a tight parking situation and just wished you could have seen a little beyond the edge of the bonnet? Land Rover’s innovative ‘see-through’ technology might be just the trick…

Using cameras located in the concept’s grille, the data captured is fed to the car’s head-up display creating a view of the terrain through the bonnet and engine bay. Dubbed Transparent Bonnet, the technology provides full visibility of the potential hazards hidden beneath and directly in front of the car, while also showing the position and angle of the front wheels. Very useful, indeed.

Land Rover’s Discovery Vision Concept will be unveiled at the New York show on April 16, 2014.
