A Mamelodi Sundowns youth coach appears to have stolen the hearts of many following his funky trophy celebrations with his players this weekend. Here's a look!
The story
Sundowns U15 coach Selekedi Mogale seemed over the moon after his U15 team claimed the Gauteng Development League 2024 Top 8 title on the weekend.
The young Brazilians claimed a 2-0 win over the TUKS U15 team, as they were the only Sundowns age group to win their division title, while their U13s, U17s, and U19s all fell short of a trophy.

Mogale boasts a glowing repuatition in the South African developmental football scene, as he also previously the Sundowns U17 assistant manager. The tactician also has a CAF A coaching license, according to his LinkedIn account. In one post on the app, he discussed the complexities of managing young players, insisting that it takes a visionary to be able to coach in youth football.
"Being a visionary, is about shaping a young player towards their strength in the game. It is not easy because even when the player cannot understand or comprehend what you are doing or saying to them. You have to keep working and pushing them. Even when football people cannot see your final destination with certain players, you must push."
He added: "It is important to have a vision for all your players. Especially the very good players. They might be ahead of most players, if you don't stimulate/challenge them mentally, you will find you are creating a ceiling for them.
