Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Lazarous came from humble beginnings before his unsuccessful spell at Naturena. Here's a look!
The story
The Zambian international joined Amakhosi in 2019 on a deal worth a reported €178k (R3.5 million), according to Transfermarkt. The move came on the back of a prolific campaign at ZESCO United. However, things at Chiefs did not go as planned, as he scored just two goals for the club in three seasons, leading to his release in 2022.
Shortly after his exit from the DStv Premiership, he joined Young Africans in the Zambian topflight on a reported two-year contract but for the past two seasons he has been on loan at his former employers ZESCO, where he has rediscovered in form.

Nevertheless, his blemished reputation at Chiefs hasn't been the only adversity he has to contend with in his life, as his professional football aspirations began during his early life in Lusaka. According to various Zambian outlets, at 13-years-old, he moved to the second largest city in the country Kitwe - where he moved in with his brother Promise Kambole. It is believed that Promise bought him his first pair of boots, which kick-started his dream of becoming a baller.
He was highly rated during his teens as he gradually rose to the top and would later go on to make his international debut for Chipolopolo at the age of 23. Prior to his move to South Africa, it seems that the attacker had managed to get himself a modest Toyota Corolla, as player has posted several images with the silver ride.
Did you know?
Reports suggest that he was earning handsomely at Chiefs, with his reported salary estimated to be around R100 000. While things may have turned out badly on the field, his earnings is understood to have made him a breadwinner in his family after being nurtured by his older brother during his rise.
