With renovations of FC Barcelona's home ground now fully underway, the final look of the redesigned Camp Nou has been revealed.
The story
Barca currently play their home matches at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium while their Spotify Camp Nou remains under construction. The major stadium redeveloped is reportedly worth an an estimated $1.6 billion and it is forecasted for completion in November 2024 - although this date varies from source to source.
Evidently, there is a real demand to refurbish stadium in Europe, with Real Madrid have completed their Santiago Bernabeu upgrades, while Manchester United and Chelsea continue to face calls to redevelop their venues.
The original Camp Nou began construction back in 1954 and it was inaugurated three years later in 1957. In the 1980s and 90s, extensions were made, later making the venue a 99 000 seater, the biggest in Europe.

The renovated stadium will be fitted with a retractable roof solar panels that will "be used to power the new 360-degree screen that will run around the entire interior of the stadium, as well as various security systems," per ESPN.
Office spaces will be built in the surrounding areas of the grounds as well as entertainment zones and the capacity will be upgraded to record-extending 105 000 seats approximately.

The club is officially selling their stadium grass, with patches of turf going for between €20 to €50 (R405 to R1013) while online the Barcelona shop is offering larger squares for between €80 (R1 620) and €420 (R8 509).
