The son of Bafana Bafana legend Lucas Radebe has comically revealed how he helped Orlando Pirates clinch the MTN8 title this weekend!

The story

The MTN8 final certainly lived up to hype, as the match provided all the drama and fireworks many had expected. The Bucs successfuly defended their title against Mamelodi Sundowns, as their goalkeeper Sipho Chaine was the hero on the night after keeping a clean sheet in 120 minutes and saving three penalties during the shootout to give the Soweto giants a 3-1 win.

As expected, the game was heavily talked about on social media, with Downs supporters feeling agrieved over some officiating decisions, while the Pirates faithful are adamant that their triumph is deserved.

While tensions may have been high between rival fans, Radebe's son - who is a popular TikToker and comedian, has made it quite clear whose side he was on.

He posted a video on TikTok showing an ammusing ritual he did to ensure the Bucs reclaim the R8 milllion prize money. Boasting 987.5k followers on TikTok, Primo headed to Moses Mabhida stadium holding up the Buccaneers' 'amathambo' sign.

Did you know?

Primo was also a professional footballer at some point, as he previously represented Mpumalanga Black Aces Bidvest Wits after he matriculated in 2011. However, injuries devastatingy stifled his career, leading him to a successful new path.

Speaking on his journey as the son of the Leeds United icon, he told TimesLive: “When I started I didn't want anyone to know who my dad was because I knew that it would happen sooner or later, but I wanted to kick-start this journey on my own with my name and I'm blessed and having so much fun now.”

He added: “I feel maybe becoming a soccer star was not my path, that was me trying my best to follow my dad's footsteps, and when I finally came into my own I left football and started coaching.

“When my TikTok became popular I decided to stop, but soccer is in our blood so I don't want my talents, plans, and visions to go to waste. So I'm a football agent, a scout and a talent developer. My father paved the way for us to make a proper impact.”
