Percy Tau received a delightful souvenir after his side Al Ahly dropped points against Young Africans in the CAF Champions League this past weekend. Here's a look!

The story

Tau got on the scoresheet as his club managed a 1-1 draw with the Tanzanian side on Saturday. The Bafana Bafana star thought he had scored the winner after his perfectly guided header found its way into the back of the net in the 86th minute.

However, Young Africans scored an equaliser in stoppage time to salvage a point against the reigning champions, with the result serving as a bit of a disappointment for Tau and his team.

On the bright side, however, he came up against a fellow South African, which is quite a rare occurrence when Al Ahly is not up against a South African team. Mahlatse Makudubela, who is the only Mzansi-born star in history to ply his trade in the Tanzanian top flight, was on the Yanga bench during the match. After the game, the two South Africans linked up at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium to exchange shirts, with Tau seen holding Skudu's no.6 jersey.

Perhaps it is a souvenir for the Lions of Judah given his last-minute disappointment on the night. What the two players have in common is also the fact that they represented Mamelodi Sundowns in their youth and the fact they are now both abroad representing two continental giants is a good sign for South African football.

Skudu has become the poster-boy at Yanga, with the club seemingly making him the new face of the team. The former Marum Gallants player is featured in various campaigns, including commercial initiatives. He has also become a fan favourite, with his arrival earlier this season having prompted a fully packed crowd to witness his unveiling.

On Twitter, fans also been left gushing over his sharp skills, with the commentary among supporters widely fixated on his mesmerising footwork.

Makudubela was also featured in a commercial showcasing their new kit - see the video below!

Your thoughts, please?

With just one point from their first two games, do you think Skudu's Yanga will advance to the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League?
