Bernard Parker is considered by some to be a player with a tenacious on-field spirit, helping him achieve a considerable status in the South African game but his off-field drive is having the same affect.
The 38-year-old took to social media to show off a set of wheels, posing beside it and elevating himself in the process!

Cars have been considered, historically, to be symbols of status and wealth in society because unlike a house or less noticeable possessions, it can be taken around wherever you go, giving one the opportunity to put other people in awe wherever they go.
Additionally, certain brands and models of cars are associated with luxury, prestige, and exclusivity. This is the case for the car Parker is pictured with, the BMW XM.
According to the German manufacturer's official website, the XM is a hybrid SUV and a high-performance one at that with its ability to go from 0 to 100km/h in a jaw-dropping span of just 4.3 seconds.
It is also quite the luxury item as its interior comes with an illuminated headliner. The colour of it can be selected by the driver! Then, the door trims and instrument apparel are covered by a vintage leather.
For all this luxury, the car comes at a whopping price of around R3.4 million, according to BMW's official website.
In the picture Parker uploads to Instagram, followers can only see a small glimpse of the car — the front tire and a portion of the side of the car. It is, however, enough a glimpse to marvel at.
"life is only as good as your mindset," the TS Galaxy midfielder wrote in an Instagram caption. Given that he used his footballing career to propel other fields of his life, like becoming an author by writing a book about his life, as well as his determination to come back from what many first deemed to be a career-ending injury, Parker's mindset is a force to be reckoned with.
