Moroka Swallows star Gabadinho Mhango has confirmed he will be releasing a brand new song soon! Here's a look!

The story

The Malawi international has revealed via his official TikTok account that he will be dropping a song title Mr Negative featuring his countryman and musician Goshen Boy.

It appears that the player's stage name is simply Gaba and he seems quite excited for the official release. He told one fan who commented on the clip: "You gonna see me become musician sister."

The song is sung in the former Orlando Pirates forward's mother tongue and features a melodic afro pop sound that many of his fans are impressed by already. While the full song is yet to be heard, it appears that the Dube Birds talisman features prominently on the adlibs and chorus, while it remains to be witness whether he has a verse on the song.

Mhango has been teasing the idea of moving onto music, as a glance at some of his social media content shows that he has also been learning how to become a DJ. With many of friends in the entertainment space, it seems like the music bug has now bitten him as well.

With his contract at Swallows only expiring in June 2025, it is quite possible that his music career will not be fully unleashed until he has more time to spend in the studio cooking some fresh jams. However, it is quite possible to juggle both a soccer and music career, as AC Milan talisman Rafael Leao and Everton midfielder Amadou Onana seem to handling their two passion very well.

Football matters

Malawi national team coach and former Kaizer Chiefs captain Patrick Mabedi told SoccerLaduma that Mhango has been barred from the team until further notice due to disciplinary reasons.

"He was invited to join the team here on Sunday and he went late to the airport and he missed his flight," Mabedi said.

"And he was asked by the technical team to do some recovery sessions and send (them) to our physical trainer but he never did, yet his game was played on Saturday.

"If he obeys the technical team rules yes (he will be welcomed back) and apologise to the technical team and to the Malawians. He let the country down," Mabedi added.
