Orlando Pirates cult hero Thembinkosi Lorch has now made a rare appearance in the limelight, having not played a single match so far this season.

The story

The skilful winger is among the most famous footballers in the DStv Premiership, with his 761 000 Instagram followers a telling sign of his undeniable popularity. His last post on the app came all the way back in May, when he celebrated his first-ever Nedbank Cup title with the Bucs.

Despite seemingly depriving his fans of any new material and engagement after deactivating the comments section, he has once again popped up with his signature look to entice some viewers into what they have been missing.

On Wednesday, "Nyoso" posted a few images of himself rocking his preferred combo of black skinny jeans, a high-end T-shirt, and a pair of premium sneakers. He was seen wearing a lush pair of Valentino Garavani one-stud shoes, worth a pricey R18 370, according to the label's official website.

The shoes, made in Italy, boast a low-top design covered by nappa leather materials, which are often used to wrap the seats, steering wheels, and dashboards of high-end car models from premium brands such as BMW and Cadillac.

The kicks also feature a maxi-stud detail with a glossy finish and has the Valentino Garavani screen-printed logo on the heel and tongue.

Shoes seems to be a strong focus for the Pirates attacker as he has previously been seen wearing brands like D&G, Gucci, and PUMA, with the latter being his official sportswear partner.

Did you know?

The 30-year-old has been under a cloud of controversy after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend three years ago. Earlier in September, his sentencing was postponed for the second time, and that decision is now expected to be confirmed in October, according to DRUM.

Pirates have insisted on letting the law take its course before making a decision on his future at the club.
