What Happened?

The 45-year-old artist released the new tune on Spotify on Thursday, which has since stirred controversy among everyone who followed the pair while they were together.

The dashing duo split after 11 years together back in June, with the fallout of their break-up becoming increasingly public.

The song called Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53, was followed by a Instagram post from the pop singer that read: "millions of women who rise up against those who make us feel insignificant."

The hit quickly rocketed to the top of Spotify’s Top 50 Global chart and had the most streams in a single day out of any Latin song in the platform's chart history.

There was one quote in the song that particularly caught the attention of everyone when Shakira

"I'm worth two 22-year-olds," Shakira sings.

"You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio."

Pique has now responded by pulling up to a tournament over the weekend with a white Renault Twingo, with cameras capturing his arrival.

The footballer also said, "I have closed an agreement with Renault so that on Sunday (this January 15) I drive a Twingo, with the clown next to me. Can’t I close personal agreements and arrive as I want?", according to Spanish outlet AS.
