It's a great night out, the DJ is on fire and everyone is on the dance floor. And one by one, they start dropping and collapsing. Before long, 17 teenagers were dead right on the spot while others got sick. By the end of the Sunday, the death toll would increase to 21. 

"It was uncontrollable falls," Dr Solomzi Zondi explains to Drum.

Dr Zondi is a pathologist based in East London’s Woodbrook mortuary.
