It's been an emotional week for her and her family after waiting nearly eight years to finally see the murder trial of their beloved Senzo brought to trial. But they'll take the "abuse" so they can finally mourn properly.

The Senzo Meyiwa trial commenced on Monday and the late Bafana Bafana captain’s family travelled from Umlazi to Joburg for the trial that was heard in the high court in Pretoria.

“The traveling makes us feel the abuse we are going through in order for us to get the truth," Nomalanga Meyiwa, the sister of the slain Pirates star, tells Drum. She is aboard a bus, travelling back home from Gauteng, a gruelling six-and-a-half hour trip, when she speaks to us.
