Another postponement for comedian and TV presenter Tumelo ‘Stopnonsons’ Matila’s assault matter.

The comedian appeared at the Randburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday, after his matter was previously postponed in order for his ex- girlfriend to be present for the proceedings. The state prosecutor told the court that GBV-related matters are no longer being mediated according to the new rule by the National Prosecuting Authority.

Stopnonson is facing two counts of assault and pointing a firearm at the complainants. He is accused of assaulting and pointing an alleged firearm at his alleged ex-girlfriend, Thando Ngemane, and her friend, Tsholofelo Kgosimotho.
