He wanted to start where his trauma began. If he can make a difference, why not in his rural hometown?
Former CNBC Africa Journalist Lubabalo Mashiqana (25) recently launched the Lubabalo Mashiqana Foundation aimed at addressing social justice issues including GBV and LGBTIQ rights in rural and township communities across the country.
He launched in his village of Sheshegu in Mthatha with close to 30 volunteers trained by the Commission for Gender Equality as well as an initiative of the global fund.
