From The Black Door to thaaat video – five times SK Khoza made headlines

Celebville has been the gift that has kept on giving this year. Their shenanigans and triumphs have left South Africans equally shocked and fascinated.

When you talk about celebrity scandals of this year, you cannot leave out actor SK Khoza. His highs were really high, and his lows were also very low. From being barefoot yelling “do you know me” and that video that shocked the country.

Here are five reasons why SK made headlines:

Do you know me?

In April, he trended because of a video shot at Zebula lodge in Mpumalanga. In it, the multi-award winning actor is heard asking the man if he knows who he is. He told Sunday World that he was insulted prior to the recording of the video.

“I was away with friends in Mpumalanga and the white man you see in the video was racist towards me, so I retaliated. He called me by the ‘K’ word,” said Khoza.

“It is funny how I always trend for the wrong reasons and never for the good that I do, and the great work that I produce. I am tired of all these stories that are made up about me. I was not on drugs, and I have never been.

Abuse accusations

His ex-fiancee accused him of abuse and opened a case against him.

She then dropped the charges. “I only dropped the charges because he asked for mediation. My lawyer was communicating with me and told me I'll go to court only when I’m needed and that was when I went to sign that I agree for the meditation.” Ayanda wrote on Instagram.

He maintained his innocence and insisted: “It’s not cool that I’m a statistic in this country for GBV.” 

Oral sex video

The video started trending in July showing SK giving oral sex to a woman whose face is not identified and it has since gone viral and left many people talking. In a post on Instagram, SK wrote, “Why can’t I just be left alone in peace?”

This followed with a new link to his Only fans page – an internet content subscription service that allows creators to make money and many have used it to sell adult rated content.

He was then the subject of imitated videos on TikTok.

But it hasn’t all been doom and gloom for the talented actor.

He got a role on the popular and steamy The Black Door, where he continues to wow fans. 

Music

He has collaborated with LulamaK for the release of a song titled Hubbly and Alcohol. The song is about warning everyone about the dangers that come with the abuse of alcohol and smoking.

Awards

He recently won the award for best actor of the year at the African Social Entertainment Awards. He took to his Instagram to thank his family, friends and fans.

“Thanks to the great man above for my God given talent. I didn’t have to go to school to do what I do and now I got (sic) three-time award winning.”
