Diamond and Dolls reality stars are still in shock after almost drowning at Hartbeespoort dam over the weekend.

Inno Morolong, Tebogo Ramokgadi, and Tapiwa Munyuki say they almost lost their lives when their boat started sinking at Hartebeest dam.

“It was supposed to beautiful weekend, but it got cut short,” Tebogo says.

“Inno’s man took us on a boat ride. We were slightly late, but we went anyway. So, the sun was almost setting.”

“We were having a great time on the boat, drinking champagne and laughing. Suddenly the was an issue with the boat, it was no longer moving.

"In the beginning, we thought it was nothing until the captain started to panic.”

Tebogo says they tried to make calls but could not reach anyone.

“We spent two hours in the water. After the first hour, the boat started slowly sinking. We thought we were going to drown to death. We were screaming, crying, and praying.”

After two hours, the captain managed to get hold of the boat owner who came to the rescue.

“The boat owner eventually came after two hours. Had he arrived a minute later, it would have been too late. He arrived with a speed boat. It was one of the most traumatic experiences I have ever encountered,” he adds.

This is not first near-death experience for some of them. Inno recently got into a car accident while on her way to visit her family in the Free State.

“This just brought back memories from the day of the car accident,” she says.

“I asked God what is happening. Did I do something wrong and why is all of this happening? But I am blessed to be alive, it means that I am meant to be here.”

The Diamond and Dolls reality stars are gearing up for season two of their glamorous reality show.

“We are in the planning process for season two. Things will be bigger and better.”

Tebogo says he is aware of the negative criticism they received about the show.

“We appreciate the critics. But the numbers doesn’t lie, people went back and forth to watch the show. We had great content, but season one was shot a few years ago. A lot has changed since then. We have more money, we’re more successful and the ladies have done some incredible work on their bodies. There is a lot and we can’t wait for season two,” Tebogo adds.
