The star-studded night was one "for the books" for The Underground Railroad actress.
Taking to Instagram, the award-winning actress gave fans a glimpse of her living the American dream.
Thuso gave a "special salute to everyone who made this day so special," giving thanks to her co-stars whom she calls "warriors". She also thanked her team for making it possible for her to be in "the presence of greatness," and she gave a special thanks to every new face that received her with welcoming arms.
Thuso also jokingly shared remembering that she doesn't have to speak English when she meets Trevor.
