For a lucky few, sliding into the DMs has brought them love and family.

Twitter users have been posting about how their relationships started online and where they are now.

Local musicians Prince Kaybee and new dad Cassper Nyovest are just some of those who’ve had luck with love through the socials.

Using the caption, ‘how it started, how it’s going,’ Kaybee posted a screen shot of how he shot his shot in the Instagram dm’s of his current bae, along with another snap of them boo’d up on the trampoline to show where they are now.

His post prompted followers to do the same.

But the Gugulethu hit maker was also lowkey slammed for his “whack” shot shooting, with some saying his celebrity status helped him get the girl.

“When you are monied that works but for some of us they will blue tick you till your name hits the hawks desk” wrote another user.

Here are some other celebrities who’ve had luck shooting their shot in inboxes.

Cassper Nyovest

The rapper and new dad was another who shared his experience of how he slid into the dm’s of his baby mama. Sharing a 2017 Instagram private chat, the rapper and his bae casually joked about when they would be making a baby together. And a few years later, baby makes three.

Clinton Brink

A year into their relationship the actor posted a screen shot of how he first texted his now wife after stalking her profile for some time.

Clint captioned the Instagram post, “8 March 2016 12:21pm aaaaaaaaand this is how my wife @steffionthebrink and I started... By the time I decided to inbox her, I did some mini profile stalking & besides her obvious beauty.. saw her heart in her words... It's close to a year of being married and deciding to risk my heart again was the best decision I made in my life. God is real.”

Theo Kgosinkwe and Vourne

In a rather unique ice breaker, the Mafikizolo muso slid into his wife’s dm’s with a blunt, "Ye wena... *juicy*" text after he saw a photo of Vourne.

The rather private couple disclosed how they started their relationship in a joint video on Vourne’s YouTube channel.

Linda Mtoba

The actress revealed how she met her husband at the age of 19, but nothing came of their meet until some months later when he messaged her on Facebook.

Speaking to Move! magazine she explained, “It’s a very funny story. We saw each other at a club and didn’t talk. Two months later he inboxed me on Facebook. He stayed in Cape Town and when we started dating he came to see me in Durban.”
