She's been living with diabetes for 10 years.

In that time, she's been mocked, teased, declared dead a few times and has had to educate fans and followers about the disease.

Actress and businesswoman Sophie Ndaba, who is still popularly known as Queen Moroka from Generations by her fans, opened up about living with diabetes.

Her life changed completely and as a result she had to make multiple lifestyle changes to better manage her condition.

“Living with this deadly disease DIABETES for almost a decade has taught me not to take life for granted,” she wrote on Instagram.

Sophie has been cyber bullied over her drastic weight loss over the years.

“Being attacked, teased, laughed at was nothing! Even [being] declared dead most times was nothing! Let me tell you living with Diabetes is not something you wish on your enemy. It's uncomfortable, painful, confusing, deadly and 24/7 monitoring required! Trust me, prevention is better than cure!”
