This week has not only brought us good news in the radio space. Congratulations have also poured in for radio enthusiasts that are on their way to becoming TV faves.
Nonhlanhla ‘Noni’ Khumalo and Mncedisi Sindane have announced that they have joined the SABC family.
The two have been throwing hints our away and now the cat is out the bag.
Announcing yet another bag under her name, Noni says, “I cannot wait to get started and venture into fresh territory. The team behind the show has been carefully selected to produce nothing but the best content for our audience to enjoy.”

While Noni joins the brand-new season of the weekly magazine show Trendz Live, she continues sprinkling her magic on YFM’s The Lunch League hosted by Lula Odiba (Keletso Modiba) and Fresh by caddy (Teboho Tsotetsi).
Her journey started at the Voice of Wits campus radio station and went on to flourish at Primedia’s 947 before joining YFM in 2022.
The 32-year-old takes up the reigns as one of the producers for the show and will also bring out her infectious laugh and personality through inserts at least weekly as she reports from the hottest events and covers the red carpets at trendy events.
As she debuts on Friday 5 April, the audience will get to meet her with an introductory brief of her role on the show.

In an Instagram post, Mncedisi shares his excitement to join the SABC team.
“I’m so excited to announce that I’m joining the formidable Trendz Live team. CXatch the first live show tonight and see me have a chat with the incredible Grammy-award winning Nomcebo Zikode.”
“Truly an answered prayer, see you on TV,” he adds.
