Her music tugs at the heartstrings and now she is being recognised in the industry.
Songstress Viwo Kulati has been nominated in the Best Adult Contemporary Album category at the South African Music Awards.
She is nominated in the same category as Vusi Nova.
All this for her debut EP titled Love.
Speaking about her nomination, Viwo says she is excited that she will also be gracing the stage at Sognage in Randburg on 21 October. She promises to give an “unforgettable” performance with her soulful and heartfelt music.
“I am up against incredible talents like Nobuhle Ashanti, Louise Carver, the Drakensberg Boys Choir, and giants like Vusi Nova. This nomination feels like a pat on my back, confirming that I am on the right path."

This is a dream come true for the singer.
“I have been following the SAMAs since I was growing up. This is a special moment for me, and I am thrilled that my debut EP is receiving this level of recognition. Love is an album that means so much to me. I was expressing myself wholeheartedly."
Opening up about the journey behind her debut project, Viwo reveals that the journey was daunting.
“I had moments of self-doubt, and I questioned whether I should release it. The emotional and financial investment was significant. So, this nomination is a tremendous achievement for me."

She then expresses her gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support.
"I want to thank everyone who has shared my music. My fans have been instrumental in providing me with opportunities and platforms. They consistently share my music on social media, and I am genuinely grateful to each and every one of them.
"I'm so appreciative of my fans that I'm planning to organize a lunch with one of them as a special gesture."
The SAMAs will be live on 18 and 19 November in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
