Kiddo CSA says his upcoming E.P will be something different from what his fans have heard before.

He grew up in an area that was filled with hip-hop street culture and it wasn't long before he found himself writing poetry and rapping.

Sipho Ncube (21), popularly known by his stage name Kiddo CSA, is from the East Rand in Johannesburg and he grew up  listening to all kind of music with his family and he fell in love with the art of poetry.

“When I started writing poetry, I started being good in rap. I learnt so much from it, the culture and that’s when I decided to make music.”

The rising star recently released a song titled ‘Haibo’ which has hit the right note with fans. He wants to introduce people to a different side to him.

“In my music I always speak of my life experiences, the sing is about my journey, but I put in a vibey trap beat. Haibo is a term for something surprising and the past few months for me have been all overwhelming because I have working so hard and now its paying off. I want people to know learn about my life experiences in my music but also give them something to relate to and vibe with.”

Kiddo is currently working on an E.P that will be released within the first quarter of 2022.

“My EP is in the works and that’s my focus right now. In the music that I have made in the past this EP will be something different and people can expect a lot from it. It will speak of who I am and what it took for me to get here. I’ll speak on my hardships and I want to inspire the next person.”

He says that the support of his family and friends has been heart warming in his journey of being an artist.

“They have been a great support system for me. There are so many people that inspire me, locally I admire Sjava and I would love to make something with him. And internationally it would be Young Thug, he’s my favourite artist.”

His time in the music industry has been filled with a lot of lessons and he’s finding his feet as an artist.

“The goal was to make music and to have a relationship with people through music. I have been learning a lot with different people and I am taking it one step at a time. There have been challenges that I had to get through to get to where I am. I’ve had to build connections and know who to talk to in order to be in the right platforms. Having no resources to put my music on certain platforms was challenging but I was prepared to hold on.”

When he is not making music, Kiddo says that he’s a great a cook that loves exploring new ways of making food and he reads a lot.

He plans on venturing into acting during the course of his career because it is another passion of his.

“I will be getting to acting and in my upcoming music video launch for Haibo people will see my acting skills. Acting is something I want to pursue but it will bloom at its own time. In my career I would like to achieve accolades like the platinum status and tour and interact with my fans."
