MTV has announced the nominees for the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards and South Africans are shining.
Mzansi stars Master KG, Kabza De Small, and DJ Maphorisa have been nominated in the Best African Act category.

Nigeria’s Burna Boy, who recently released his album “Twice as Tall”, and won the category last year, beating SA musicians Nasty C and Prince Kaybee, is also nominated in the same category.

The category also has rising star Rema who is also from Nigeria, Uganda’s songstress Sheebah and Gaz Mawete from the DRC.
Globally, Lady Gaga is leading with seven nominations, including Best Pop, Best Artist, and Best Video.

BTS and Justine Bieber each received five nominations in categories including Biggest Fans and Best Pop.
The 2020 MTV EMAs will premiere exclusively on MTV, Channel 130 & MTV Base, Channel 322 at 8pm on 8 November.
And fans can start voting for their favourites on the official MTV EMA site.
