His biggest inspiration and role model was Hip Hip Pantsula. He's hoping he can reach the masses just like his idol did.
Lesotho’s Malome Vector has finally dropped his debut album, Karabo. He's hoping this is the album that will pave the way.
Though even his mom back in Lesotho also calls him Malome Vector, his government name is Bokang Moleli and he moved to Joburg in 2019 from the Mountain Kingdom.
“I have always wanted to move to Joburg, but I did not want to do so without a plan. Then in 2019 I go a call from Ambitious and my life changed. Moving here was the best thing ever because I am now able to work on my music like never before.

“To be honest, Joburg is nothing like I expected it to be. If you know the right people who can make things happen and that is great,” he says.
Malome Victor says the motswako pioneer, HHP - real name Jabulani Tsambo - paved the way for many artists.
“He is one of the main reasons why I got into music. I have always loved music since I was a child but listening to him really inspired me,” he says.
Growing up, he says, his family did not have money but there was always unlimited love.
“I had an amazing childhood, with so much love in our home. I am the lastborn of five kids and even to this day, my parents are still very much in love.”
The 18 track album is titled Karabo with Dikeledi as his favourite song. It is available on all digital platforms.
“That song means so much to me because it talks about my journey, my story and how I got to where I am today. I want people to listen to the album and know that even if they are still on their come up, they can make it. I really want to motivate people and give them hope. The album has messages of patience, love, and gratitude.”
He is living his dream, making music in Joburg with the cream of crop in the entertainment industry.
Karabo, which took about two years to be complete, features an array of stars; stable mates, Blaq Diamond, Intaba Yase Dubai, and Wave Rhyder, BET award-winner Sjava, Ubuntu band as well as Ntate Stunna.

“I have a special relationship with everybody who is on the album. I had to call them one by one so we can create history together.
“It is really a dream come true. Sometimes even I cannot believe. I mean I love Sjava’s music and not only does he know my name, he has my number and we call each other. It is amazing,” he says.
Fans have been given a taste of what to expect from the album with music that was released last year which include songs like Lerato, Nobody and Dumelang.
“I want people to listen to the album and have several takeaways from it. There is more that one genre in the album and I also want people to enjoy my versatility."
