MAJOR. can't wait to feel the love from his South African supporters.

His song is cued in the background of most wedding and lovebirds’ Tiktok videos and some have even dared to sing a rendition of it.

It is the ultimate way of explaining to your partner why you love them.

Now everyone will get the chance of singing ‘This is why I love you’ from the top of their lungs as MAJOR. is the latest artist to announce that he’ll be gracing a South African stage at Rusty Rocks early next year.

The award-winning US R&B sensation MAJOR. is ready to serenade with his all-time hits including Honest, Spend Christmas with you and A mother’s love.

In a statement announcing his tour, he says, “I cannot wait to touch down South Africa and feel the love from all those who have supported my music through the years. I look forward to connecting with my audience and have them sing along to their all-time favourites.”

Real name Major Johnson Finley, MAJOR. is a contemporary RnB singer and songwriter whose music is rooted in classical soul and a touch of pop.

After he graduated from the Berklee College of Music, his music career kicked into high gear as he signed to B.O.E music group.

It wasn’t until he released his debut album titled ‘I Am MAJOR.’ introducing himself to the world that his sound earned the admiration of Stevie Wonder.

His number one hit song ‘Why I love you’ peaked at number five on Billboard’s Adult RnB Songs chart.

The Texas-born singer has since won a Grammy award and has been nominated eight times for a NAACP Image Award.

“RustyRocks is very excited to be bringing MAJOR. to SA. A lot of our patrons love his music, and he has an incredible following here. We have organised and delivered spectacular shows in the past and this one will sure be one for the books too. In the end, it’s all about giving our patrons from South Africa and neighbouring countries entertainment that will leave ever-lasting memories,” says Teboho Twala from RustyRocks.
