Every week there seems to be something new. He's been sending out a series of statements filled with serious accusations against his wife, all underlined with the same message – he's getting a divorce.

In the latest, he talks about discovering muthi in their house.

Entertainer Lebo Morake, known as Lebo M, is adamant that they are going their separate ways.

But his wife Pretty Samuels tells Drum the impending divorce is yet to be discussed by their families.

“I am not ready to speak about this matter. We have set up a meeting and both families are expected to meet and discuss this matter further. Till then I don’t have anything to say, I will, however, speak out about my situation if it is still relevant at the time.”

Pretty tells Drum that when she is ready to talk to the media, she will but now they are still trying to sort it out.

“My family set the date for Saturday, 2 September to the Morake family. There is nothing I can do before the set date. I didn’t want to speak out because it would become disrespectful to the families when I do so without finding out what they are planning to do.”

While Pretty says she is waiting for the family, Lebo M released a statement that states that he is executing the divorce. The statement that came out after police were seen in Lebo M’s house.

“In what could be seen as an act of vengeance, Pretty Samuels’ bizarre latest stunts have gone worse than her standards. Pretty Samuels’ latest low manifests, showed up when she ambushed The Morake residence with the police, having little to no regard for children. While Lebo M on the other hand was communicating with her family in a desperate attempt for the third time to try to create the atmosphere for a long overdue 'Abakhongi' meeting.”

It read that: “For weeks earlier, both the first and the second attempts by Lebo M for the families to meet had been sabotaged by Pretty Samuels, no meeting ever took place.”

In the statement he says he's instructed his lawyers to deliver the divorce summons to the sheriff for personal service to Pretty by the 25th of August 2023 close of business. Pretty confirmed to Lebo’s lawyers that she would personally pick up the documents at the Midrand Sheriff's office.

Pretty’s official statement states that she has not received any divorce summons and will not respond to any questions fuelled by fake news and misrepresentation of the truth.

She says marriage is not about two people, a marriage binds families as well.

“As a wife, I will not be drawn to defending or commenting any further on mine and my families’ private affairs as I respect both Morake and Samuels families.”

Meanwhile as the drama unfolds for the couple, Lebo M has a pending CCMA matter.

His former employee at the Lebo M Foundation, Siphokuhle Dlamini, took him to CCMA for unfair dismissal. She's been accused of allegedly stealing money from the organisation.

“I refuse to be part of the mediocre media smear campaign against a defenceless woman. If there are any allegations of fraud, I urge the person pretending to be the victim to visit the nearest police station and open a criminal case if they so believe a crime was committed,” Pretty says.
