It's been one of the worst divorce battles of this year.
And it just got weird. Dr. Dre, real name Andre Young and his estranged wife Nicole Young are involved in a bitter divorce battle. She's fighting for half of Dr Dre's estate, which is estimated to be worth around $1 billion (R15.3 billion).
According to the Daily Mail, Dre is now threatening to summon all the guests that attended their wedding in 1996 to testify against Nicole during their divorce trial in an attempt to prove to the judge that Nicole was not coerced into signing a prenup.
Nicole (50) and Dre (55) got married in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii in 1996 and have two children together, Truce (23) and Truly (19).
Nicole says she was coerced into signing a prenuptial agreement prior to their wedding and says that Dre tore it up after their marriage “in a romantic gesture of love for her”, according to reports by the Daily Mail.

Dre and Nicole’s split has since has become messier since she filed for divorce in late June. Her initial filing made no mention of a prenup and stated that the reason for the divorce was “irreconcilable differences”.
A September filing from Nicole indicated that she was seeking nearly $2 million (R30.6 million ) per month in spousal support, as well as $5 million (R76.5 million) in legal fees. The judge ruled in Dr. Dre’s favor and he does not have to pay his wife legal expenses.
