It has been business venture after another for the popular DJ Zinhle. And she's not stopping anytime soon.
The artist, real name Zinhle Jiyane is a DJ, producer, businesswoman. Now she's got a whole new title: CEO.
She announced that she is stepping in as the CEO of sparkling wine brand, Boulevard Rosé.
It's exciting, she shares.
“It's a beautiful thing to see your dreams and aspirations become reality and I hope young girls can take something from this story. One I plan on leaving as a legacy for my daughter,” she says.
“This is a really big moment for me. The acquisition and stepping in as CEO is validation that hard work pays off and that my dreams have always been valid. I've always been big on empowering women and right now I feel pretty empowered, wow!” Zinhle tells DRUM.

She's been in the industry for over a decade and has been breaking various glass ceilings since she started.
She has not only made hits and made people dance at the hottest parties, but she has her hand in many business ventures. She's written a book, she's behind the Era watches, she has an Airbnb, an interior decor business and now, wine.
“All my business ventures are inspired by authenticity and driven by quality. So, if it speaks to who I am and I can share it in good quality, I know it can be something great. Aspirations and new business ventures are usually a scary thing to dive into but being a DJ and businesswoman for over 15 years means this is a new level for me to start building on. The sparkling wine industry is a thriving market that's been around for so many years and I am really excited and grateful that I get to add to it now,” she adds.

Apart from all the other hats she wears, Zinhle is also a mother to five-year-old Kairo. She is the busiest she has ever been, she tells us. But what is a great help to her is the overwhelming support from family, friends and an exceptional team who helps her juggle it all.
“But at the same time, it allows me to just be a mother and enjoy the special moments with my daughter, watch her grow and set good examples for her,” DJ Zinhle says.

- Never be scared of failing, that’s where the important lessons are.
- Hard work. There definitely is no substitute for it and the lessons you can learn from it.
- Have a clear vision of where you're going and a team who shares that vision.
- Build relationships. Be willing to learn and acknowledge that everyone has something to teach you.
