The reality show the country has been waiting for is finally here.

Viewers fell in love with him on Big Brother Mzansi and now Themba Broly is giving his supporters, known as the #GhostNation, front row seats to his life.

Themba: My Inked World will start on 3 February on Mzansi Magic. The show portrays how Themba navigates life’s pressures while rebuilding his life.

Before entering the Big Brother house, Themba had lost everything after his tattoo parlour burned down. His fans opened a GoFundMe account and were making donations from as little as R10.

He now has a new home partially paid for by his fans, a music EP on streaming services, and is in a high-profile relationship with BBMzansi season 3 winner, Mphowabadimo. He is determined to soar to the greatest heights of his life.

Themba has to deal with the pressures of life in the spotlight, all while trying to grow his new tattoo business. He also needs strike a delicate balance between the love of his life and his ex, who is also the mother of his children.

The 10-episode Themba: My Inked World will show him in his multiple facets. Viewers will watch him grow as a father, even though his new life of harder work means he spends less time with the little ones than he would like. Their mother, and his ex Nqobile, is still in love with him, which could impact his relationship.

Also making an appearance on the show is DJ Tira, Themba’s mentor and producer.

In a previous interview, he told Drum he and Mphowabadimo Mavundla were friends first, before they started dating.

“Mphowabadimo and I have been good friends since the day we walked into the house and we are still going strong," he said in the previous interview.

“Yes, we are currently dating. But it took time to get our friendship to this point. She is a very beautiful soul, an intelligent and supportive person. I enjoy being around her because she builds me to be a better person, father, and a brand.”

Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net says Themba’s show is, among other things, a testament to the impact Big Brother Mzansi continues to make.

“We are excited that the very successful Big Brother Mzansi season 3 has resulted in a spinoff that will now take viewers closer to the story one of the viewer favourites. It speaks strongly to the connection viewers had with the show.

“A platform like Big Brother is massive, and it’s always exciting when we see our talent growing and moving on to the next thing – whether in the entertainment industry or elsewhere – after their time on the show.”

Themba: My Inked World will premiere on 3 February at 8pm on DSTV channel 161.
